WOW. I HOPE TESCANS REALLY ENJOYED THEMSELVES. ACTUALLY THIS
WAS WHAT EVERTYBODY WAS EXPECTING. BUT UNFORTUNATELY THIS GRAND
DAY NEVER MET EVERBODY ESPECIALLY ME WHO WAS ALWAYS BLUSTERING
ARROUND THAT ON THAT FAITHFUL DAY WE GONNA COME IN REAL BUNCH
OF CROUPS TO MAKE THE ANNIVERSARY A ONE TO REMEMBER. OBVIOUSLY
I WOULD HAVE TURNED BEFORE FINDING MYSELF UP HERE IF I HAD NOT
GOTTEN A WRONG DATE. I DON'T BLAME MY NEWS WANDERER AS THE FIXED
DATE WAS A LITTLE BIT SHAKY. BUT NEVER MIND I'M GONNA MAKE SURE
THAT I REPRESENT. LONG LIVE GSTS AND HER CHILDREN.
The Future (100 years): WHAT I WOULD SAY IS THAT I WISH
T.K. COULD FINISH UP THE LIBRARY BEFORE THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE
CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS.

AND ENJOY THE DAY. EVERYONE MUST BE ONE BECAUSE IN UNITY MODA
TESCO WILL STAND. LETS GIVE TO GSTS WHAT BELONGS TO GSTS ON HER
95TH ANNIVERSARY.

I wish GREAT TESCO A HAPPY 95TH ANN. I hope it will be an opportune
time to advise both old and present students on some bad habits
that tarnishes the image of great Tesco. I also think it should
be the lunching ground for 100th Ann.
The Future (100 years): I hope it will be grand.

Ogasko, hussein, Big Ben, Fada Damien, Sparks, Quafa and most
especially JAH, this message goes to you.
The Future (100 years): I dont want to comment on this

i think the lacoste used at our time wasnt a good one as we
had wanted it to be. Mr. T. K. Mensah should use good materials
because we prefer good things to buy with our money. A FMR STUDENT

I would plead with all old boys to at least start having meetings
in our various locations to help make a meaningful contribution
towads this anniversary. This would be one out of many ways by
which we could all contribute to this great school of ours. There
is no contribution too small so be encouraged to send in your
contribution, it maybe in cash, donation, sponsorship etc.
Let us make this 95th anniversary a big success. "Better
late than never!!!!" Looking forward to see some of you in
Tadi.

old boys who are luckly on the feild of broadcasting should
do their possible best to voice out the upcoming anniversary,
the reason is they are not forcing at all. eg Duncan of Adom FM.

memorable anniversary a successful one, Long live GSTS, long live

The anniversary should have international calebrations.
Giants all over the world should meet in the country they are
now for mini anniversary where donations could be made for anniversary
in TADI.

As a cadet RSM in 1996, I would be very much grateful if all
old cadet boys are brought together for a big parade. I hope this
will bring joy and encouragement to all the cadet guys. The old
cadet should not be left out.
Erasmus Mensah Ackon (erasmusackon@yahoo.co.uk)
year_group: 1994 - 1996
Oh many thanks to God almight for making me an old boy of GSTS.
When i was a kid, i use to follow the GSTS cadet to every part
of the city. Where there is GSTS cadet, you will also see me there.
And God being so good, i was able to be part of the cadet and
as RSM in 1996. Still most people call me RSM. My suggestion for
the 95th Anniversary is that all old cadet guys should come together
for the anniversary cadet show.

Being a proud son of the great mother tesco, I think there should
be a 95th anniverrary quiz competetion among the regional school.
LLOYD QUAGRAINE (spermoza@yahoo.com)
year_group: 1998-2000
IT WILL BE VERY IMPORTANT TO SEND OUT INFO TO MANY HIGHER INSTITUTIONS
TO ASK THE OLD BOYS TO COME FOR THE ANNIVERSARY BECAUSE THOUGH
THEY ARE AWARE IT WILL BE VERY GOOD TO TELL THEM TO COME.THIS
I BELIEVE WILL GO A LONG WAY TO HELP THE STUDENTS ACADAMICALLY
BECAUSE THEIR BROTHERS IN THE UNIVERSITIES AND SO ON WILL BE THERE
IN THEIR NUMBERS TO BOOST THEIR MORAL
The Future (100 years): THE SAME BECAUSE THIS WILL GIVE
THE A CAUSE

The Future (100 years): Year groups sports fiesta should
be held.

Old students in high places should make this 95th mile stone

Being a table tennis player and a good one as such I made friends
quickly with my seniors which in the end caused me loads of trouble
with my house master. Basketball changed things between us when
I led the house team to capture the inter house trophy. Joe Ankumarh
was his name and he was darm strict or should I say wicked? anyway
in my 5 yrs in tesco all the all the good and hard working SP's
came from house 8. I think it has produced the best boys in the
years and will continue to do so. Keep it up boys.

Please provide a means for all GSTS old boys like me who are
overseas to contribute something to the school which has so blessed
us. Please apprise me of any GSTS old boys events in the MAryland/Washington
DC area.
Edward Koomson (holysinner2g@yahoo.com)
year_group: 2000 - 2002
I think other schools should be invited for a debate competition.
And old boys should be given the chance to socialise with the
current students.
George Spencer Forson (gsforson2002@yahoo.com)
year_group: 1989 - 1994
This is another opportunity for us to prove to all the other
guys that we are still what and who we were. It should be the
greatest event of the decade and we should try as much as possible
to invite all year groups to present something to mother TESCO
on that day and it should continue from there. We should prove
that indeed we are the GIANTS.
The Future (100 years): Let us tackle it once at a time, ie
as and when they come. For now the 95 anniversary is paramount.
Joseph Owusu (kojokay@hotmail.com)
year_group: 97 - 99
This event should be published on the net, that's not on this
site alone but myjoyonline as well as ghanaweb.
and I think it should be given a name such as the THE GREAT HOMECOMING
where by all GSTS old students will be invited & fund raising
ceremonies should be held before the main program in order to
generate enough money to run the actual program efectively.
Also I think an appropriate means of transfering money should
be given for us who are outside the country to contribute effectively.
James Arthur (atojimmy@hotmail.com)
year_group: 1983-1988
its time g.s.t.s boys have to wake up and bring the glory of
the school to lite. i think there should be a fund raising event
to boost the image of the computer school on the compus. i want
to know the first example by contribute to the event so the others
can follow.

Let's all be one. it seems there is this division in sectech
which i find mind striking when there is any activities no or
very few old students attend. lets be seriou with what goes on
in madatesco so there should be total participation from every
oldstu.
The future (100yrs): be wise participate in everything
let show them how it was done in the old days all the fun and
the beating streches i miss that. let participate. peace out.see
ya there.

As a continuing student i hope this anniversary will link us
to old tescans and open the gates to the outside world to know
what the great tescoland can do to the western region and the
whole nation at large. I hope the headmaster will trust this batch
and organise a get together for the students and invite other
schools for the saying goes, "All work and no play makes
jack a dull boy" through this the students will be able to
interact with other students from other schools and know how they
think of the level of discipline and academics.
I hope this anniversary will come to a successful end LONG LIVE
GSTS!!!!

THIS SHOULD BE THE OCCATION FOR THE OLD BOYS TO SIT AND BRING
OUT THE PROBLEMS FACED BY THE SCHOOL IF POSSIBLE FIND THE NECESSARY
SOLUTIONS FOR IT.
WE SHOULD ALSO TRY TO LURE OLD GIANT ABROAD TO COME AND HELP IN
THE DEVELOPMENT OF OLD TESCO.
THANKS.
The future (100yrs): lets talk first about the present
the future will take care of it self.

Please, I believe all old boys are eager and interested in the
anniversary. We must not express it on only the website. There
should be concrete and practical steps taken by all concerned
old boys to make the celebration a memorable one. Mr T. K. Mensah
we need the programme now and the associated budget so that we
can act now
The future (100yrs): God willing we shall all participate
in the Centenary and please let us do something for the school
for it GSTS that has made us what we are now. Boakye Yiadom please
get on board.

far-away like my dad to come and grace the memorable
The future (100yrs): Whaaaat on attain 100years i think
the reception given to old students during the 95th anniv would
make them really grace the occasion or not so watchout

I dont know much about what progress or setup is in place,
so forgive me if you already have some of my suggestions in place.
Since we have only about a year to go for the 95th Anniversary,
I suggest that:
a. The Old boys in the Secondi/Takoradi area should nominate
3 or 4 committed members at their next meeting to work hand in
hand with Mr. T K Mensah (Thank God he is also an Old Boy), in
the planning, especially what is to be done and things that will
be needed.
These chosen Old boys will also become the mouthpieces of the
planning committee and the headmaster to link with other Old boys
branches in the Country and Abroad.
b. They will go through the Website and other avenues to contact
all the Old boys listed there, and through these Old boys they
will get a few more Old boys not listed.
c. With that database, they will proceed through e-mails and
letters to contact these Old boys personally.
d. They will network with 2 or 3 chosen Old boys from all these
other branches in the country and abroad, to form an information
relay core, for the rest of the Old boys in the various areas
who do not attend meetings, or are not many to form an Old boys'
association.
e. Every 2 weeks or so, The Takoradi committee and any other
branch representative available will meet to update themselves
and choose the next course to take based on the progress made.
And every 6 weeks to 2 months they will meet with the branch reps.
in Ghana to update themselves and set new strategies.
Finally this core committee will stress the financial aspect
a lot after the network is running, dwelling highly on the central
account, in case there is no standing branch in an area, or the
individual does not want to donate through the branch. I believe
this will cover a lot of the bases for us and will link us up
better. It will make the Centenary celebration easier for us too.
Any 76-81 Old boy who is not already linked up with me or any
of our year group, please contact me. Thank you.

I first wish to recognise the webmaster and his team for this
invaluable contribution they are making towards bring the GSTS
family together. I think this group should be honoured in a sprecial
way at the appropriate time. Now to the 95th Anniv. Obviously
we must make 2004 special. This can only be achieved if all old
boys would commit ourselves to actively participating and contributing
to one of the branches/groups ie Accra, Tema, UK, North America,
Germany etc, etc. Support the efforts of those who are actually
organising these. Am sure all these branches would be planning
to be represented in one significant way or the other during the
anniv. Therefore if u belong to a branch, contribute meaningfully
to their plans for anniv. I suggest the School administration/Headmaster
must come out sooner than later with a grand plan for 2004. Branches
could then use that as yardstick though that should not limit
our horizon. U CANNOT DO ALONE!!! BE ACTIVE IN A BRANCH AND CONTRIBUTE
YOUR BIT. More Anon.
The future (100yrs): It is all about money. We Need to
constitute Planning and Fund Raising Committees in Ghana and abroad
NOW! to starting looking for money. Let us not wait till one year
to go.
Governor (mackawuku@interfree.it)
year_group: 1974 - 1979
I suggest this anniversary be made an occasion to by all 'Old Boys'
to build a memorial that we trascend the generations by making every
effort to equip our school with books, IT equipment, machines etc.
Let's provide for the students of today and tomorrow what we desired
but could not get. This will go a long way to enhance the socio-economic
life in our country. Dear Old boy please move from the position
of being passive and donate an educational tool or money to our
dear school.

Since this is the only anniversary prior to the MEGA CENTENARY,
the GIANTS should use it as a means to identify all shortcomings
so that we remove those bottlenecks. In this regards,i mean we
should plan to celebrate it with passion so that it signals us
how wonderful and remarkable the ultimate is going to be like.
Let's use this as an occasion to come together and plan ahead.
This means we need over 100% participation in the 95th anniversary.
Also all OldBoys association across the globe should take advantage
and form a stronger front with full representation which should
remain and improve upon that awaiting for the ULTIMATE.
The Future (100 yrs): As for this occasion, Mother Tesco
herself should be surprised. As we are now planning for it with
some years ahead, i suggest we design a special website for the
Centenary to enhance publicity and also raise enough fund through
this medium(website). We must luanch a GSTS Centenary Fund now
and give it a target of about 5 billion cedis so we can start
making contributions towards that. Let spear GSTS into the world
at large.

It is time we cherish GSTS. No one cares now, I think so. Why
should a school situated in Takoradi, have her annivesaries among
other things be launched in Accra? Is that where the school is?
Yes the bulk of the old students are here. More than two thirds
of these people were residing in Accra when at their time of schooling.
We schould be near home at least for a time to see for ourselves
how the school is like now to show the rest how we cherish our
school and its environs. We chose to pass Accra, Cape coast and
we must do the same now let us not be like those people who always
choose to launch, organise, and hold meetings all in Accra when
the schools are situated in Cape -coast or Takoradi. we chose
GSTS when it was in Takoradi and it must continue in that order.
Above all it should be a mega one more than before. Bigger, tougher,
and rougher!
